VLR - HLR Visitor Location Register - Home Location Register Spoofing or Swapping Whereby, an users IMSI is Registered under a new network temporarily, or in our case instantly and short term, by exploiting the function of the multiple layer of data in an SS7 stack. Since SS7 is unencrypted signalling, you can very easily take a test signal, acquire their IMSI -or use an IMSI catcher-, then reregister under your Visitor Location, and the proceed to intercept or acquire their cellular information. This also includes, SMS intercept of 2FA codes, Location Services Tracking, and Real-Time Call Interception Though we are not condoning the use for illegal purposes, we are however looking into this for research and educational purposes. And would like to avidly penetration test for vulnerability and applicability. An SS7 Server costs upwards of 100000 USD Annually.
